Thankful
I hope that you and your families all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I spent the few days before the holiday at the cancer center having a battery of tests as part of my regular monitoring. I am happy to report that all is well. I have a lot to be thankful for.
I am an entertainment and intellectual property lawyer and have been for 13 years (since 1997 I have run the website lawgirl.com.) In 2002 I was diagnosed with Stage III cancer. I am now proud to be a cancer survivor.
In 2004, with the my trusty vintage Schwinn Breeze at my side, I raised over $26,000 for the Lance Armstrong Foundation's Peloton Project, finishing as the year's highest Peloton Project fundraiser in New York City.
Inspired by the LAF's mission and my personal experience as a survivor, in 2005 I founded a non-profit organization, The NY LifeLab, to aid other survivors in transition. The LifeLab is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that, with its many community partners, provides free support services and information to young adult cancer survivors, helping them to redefine and relaunch their lives after treatment. Please visit The our website for more information about our programs and services.
